I'm slightly worried about this to be honest. I mean I loved Charlie, and that storyline was possibly the only Hiro storyline I particularly enjoyed, but after the novel "Saving Charlie" was published I thought that was that really, and there wasn't much more to say.

I saw on HeroSite (http://www.herosite.net/herositespoilers.htm) that Hiro will have some sort of "bucket list", so it seems almost certain that Charlie isn't going to be appearing in a flashback/dream capacity, but that Hiro will actually be trying to save her again (again again).

So from this little bit of information, I can only predict that this episode will screw up Hiro's and Charlie's timelines, the novel will be rendered non-canonical, and the writers will be left red-faced once again when they make a big continuity error or two. Someone please give me some reasons why this won't be the case!

I thought it had been stated at the time that 'Saving Charlie' was a separate thing to the series. Just the author intepretation of what happened during Hiro time with Charlie.

I don't think that continuity will be an issue, as Hiro wants to go back and save her so things will have to change in order to effect the outcome i.e. Charlie's death.

I think the problem will be as to how far back Hiro will go.  Is he just going to save her from Sylar or is he going to try and save her from the tumour which will eventually kill her anyway. :\

The only thing which could be a problem is obviously changing the fact that Sylar took her power. But I can't think of an occasion that he had used that power so I can't see changing history in that way would be be too bad.

Oh right, I thought it was considered canon. Having checked HeroesWiki, there seems to be some debate over it; it was licensed by NBC and the main plot was written by Jeph Loeb, but the actual story was not proofed by the creators of the show. I guess we'll see whether volume 5, chapter 8 clears this up once and for all!

I'm not going to talk about the time travel stuff - it annoys the hell out of me, fails to make much sense, and to be brutally honest I hope that Hiro is gone for good by the end of the season. After season 1, Heroes would have been so much better without him.

aw nooooooo!!! they cant bring back charlie!!! that'll ruin the whole epic tragicness of when he couldnt save her, so whats the point of saving her now. i mean, hiro isnt stoopid either, wouldnt saving her mess up the whole space/time/continuum thingumajig that he's always on about?
